Ella has recently announced that she will be transferring to the University of Florida where she will continue on with her softball career for the next two years.

In Ella’s sophomore season at State, she finished up ranked 2nd in the SEC with 9 runners caught stealing and led the conference with 6 caught in conference play Ella threw out 50% of all runners attempting to steal while behind the plate. Ella also ranked 3rd among all power four catchers with three runner picked off.

In Ella’s freshman year at Mississippi State, she played in 49 of 51 games, starting 44 between catcher, right and left field and designated player … batting .339 (41-for-121) on the year, which ranks second on the team and second among all SEC freshmen with at least 100 at-bats … fourth on the team in slugging percentage (.488) and on-base percentage (.394) … third in hits and second in doubles (9) … has struck out in just 5.3 percent of her plate appearances, which is third in the conference.
