EMILY NICOSIA
Emily is a graduate of Williamsville North high school where she was the starting pitcher on the Varsity softball team for all 4 years (2014-2017). Emily won All-Western New York, ECIC Division I first team, and ECIC pitcher of the year in 2017. During her time at North, she won a section VI title in her senior season for the Spartans.
Emily went on to play Division I softball at Canisius University in Buffalo, New York. Emily started all five years at Canisius where she pitched a total of 377 innings. In her last season with the Griffs, she had a 1.62 ERA in conference play and was the only pitcher in the MAAC to have an undefeated record (8-0). Emily had a career high 12 strikeouts against Monmouth in her 2021 season. Additionally, she helped lead her team to the conference championship two years in a row, and was a MAAC champion in 2022.
Emily studied Health and Wellness with a minor in Strength and Conditioning at Canisius University. She was on the MAAC All-Academic Team and Dean’s List during each year of college. Emily is currently in the Physician Assistant program at Daemen University and graduates in May 2025.
