Katie has been pitching for as long as she can remember and have always had a love for the game of softball. Katie went to Williamsville South High School, where she was a four-year varsity pitcher and was named Co-Player of the Year her senior year in 2018.

After high school, Katie continued her career at SUNY New Paltz, where she pitched in college and earned both Rookie of the Year in 2019 and Player of the Year in 2022.

Katie’s freshman year at New Paltz, she was named to the Second-Team All-SUNYAC... 3x SUNYAC Athlete of the Week (March 18, April 1, April 15).She was the first SUNYAC Rookie of the Year in program history while appearing in 30 games, starting 26, pitching in 22 with a 13-4 record pitching, and a 3.07. In 105.2 innings, Quagliana had 32 strikeouts while also batting a .295 in 78 at-bats with 23 hits and 20 runs.

During Quagliana’s junior year, she started 7 of 11 games on the field for the Hawks with a 4.93 ERA, leading the staff with 32.2 innings pitched and was second in strikeouts with 20. Katie picked up a six-hit win April 21 over Oneonta, and a three-hit shutout April 24 over RPI, earning a spot on the SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor-Roll.

Katie finished her senior year by be named the SUNYAC Player of the Year — first ever in program history, First-Team All-SUNYAC (DP), First-Team NFCA All-Northeast Region. Quagliana started nine games on the mound with 14 appearances and 35.2 innings pitched, with an ERA of 5.05 and WHIP of 1.40, allowing 39 hits and 20 earned runs with 11 walks and 16 strikeouts. Katie was named to the 2022 SUNYAC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll while also earning a spot on the Hawks Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2022 semester, and was named as a NFCA Scholar Athlete.

Katie loves everything about pitching and really enjoys helping girls learn and grow in the circle. Whether it’s building confidence, learning mechanics, or just having fun with the game, Katie is passionate about working with players and helping them reach their potential!
