Maris is a junior at Niagara Wheatfield High School, and has played on the varsity team since seventh grade. She is a three- year team captain and catches for both her high school and travel teams.

Maris plays travel softball for Fury Platinum X - Hutchins. She has played in tournaments across the country playing against the top teams/players in the nation.

Maris has worked many catching camps and given lessons for younger girls in the area that want to work and get better at catching. She loves to share her knowledge with younger athletes and help them improve and reach their goals.
