Marissa is a graduate of Eden High School (2021) where she broke multiple records for her varsity softball team including hits, RBI, home runs, doubles, runs scored, and strikeouts. She received honors such as ECIC-4 Pitcher of the Year, first team all-Western New York, and first team all-state. She helped lead the raider to multiple divisional and class championships, as well as to the New York State Championship semifinals.

Marissa is currently a junior at the University at Buffalo getting her degree in communications. Her freshman year she made six appearances and earned one start in the circle for a win against Ball State.
