Sara Holland is a graduate of Dominion High School in Sterling, VA. She was a four-year starter on the Varsity Softball team, and was named to First Team All Conference her sophomore and junior year for outfield.

Holland played with some of the most prestigious travel ball leagues in the Washington DC, Virginia region. She committed to play NCAA Division I softball at the University at Buffalo during her junior year of high school. After two years of playing through a pandemic and balancing academics, she decided to hang up her cleats and pursue her dream career of becoming a sports broadcaster. 

In 2022, Holland graduated from UB with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Journalism. After graduating, Holland immediately joined the WIVB News 4 Sports team where she was named as a Sports Reporter/Anchor. 

Although, her collegiate career was short, Holland will never let go of the passion the sport  gives her. She’s hoping to teach girls the lessons and skills she learned from travel ball all the way to collegiate level.
